Building Work Around Kathmandu

Nearly 9000 people died in the earthquakes that hit Kathmandu in April 2015. Nearly 3.5 million people were left homeless. At least 19 died in an avalanche on Mount Everest.

Construction work is still happening all over the Kathmandu valley, even this many years after the earthquake. Back-breaking labour is everywhere. A large proportion of the heavy lifting is done by women.

There seems to be a lot of inactivity too.
